Biography

Katie June is an indie folk-rock singer-songwriter whose music magnifies the magic of everyday life in the modern world. At times drawing on their own experiences and at others embodying fictional protagonists, Katie June uses their crystalline soprano and delicate guitar to construct breathtaking portraits of human emotion.
Growing up in the quiet suburbs of the Twin Cities, Katie June found their voice in church choirs and discovered songwriting in their teens. They cut their teeth in the Minneapolis folk circuit, participating in events like Art-A-Whirl and the Taste of Minnesota festival, where their arresting lyricism and pristine sound earned them comparisons to folksinger giants like Joni Mitchell.
Katie June now splits their time between the Midwest and East Coast, having departed for Philadelphia to pursue a humanities education. On campus, they've opened for Hayley Heynderickx and Ella Jane as well as played their own headlining set. With a debut album and numerous singles under their belt, they continue to build a grassroots following one person and one song at a time.
